| An Apologetic of the
Resurrection of Jesus Christ
Meaning: A verbal defense. It was used by the Greeks in a legal sense, as a demand or appeal.
Title: Christ' resurrection power is life changing
Text: Acts 4:31-35 “And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.”
How does a person get the indwelling Holy Spirit? Well first Jesus had to ascend back to heaven. Forty days after the resurrection Christ ascended the Holy Spirit came and Christians were empowered to live for Christ. Given the culture and circumstances there was only one answer for the Apostles' boldness in preaching Christ after He had gone back to heaven, and that was the resurrection. Jesus gives great power for Christians to tell the world about Himself. Jesus gives transforming grace that not only changes the heart but changes ones world view. Transforming grace that changes priorities.
Transforming grace that changes ones outlook to their up look. Transforming power to change peoples lives. Jesus can change your life. Will you let Him change you, your heart, and your life today? |
