| God's plan of salvation is so simple and yet it is for everyone, every race, people and nation and for every time in history. Romans 1:16 says For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. God' simple plan of salvation is literally for the whole world. John 3:16 says For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The key to true Christianity is truly trusting Christ and Christ alone. John 14:6 Says Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Titus 3:5 says Not by works of rightousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; "God honors faith, because faith honors God" If we place our faith in God and His Son Jesus He will honor your faith and make us a child of His. I Timothy 2:5 says For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; True faith has only one source the Bible. Romans 10:17 says So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
What a person has to do in order to become a child of God is simply trust Him by receiving His Son Jesus as your own personal Savoir. John 1:12 Says But as many as received him, to them gave he the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Before a person can or will receive Christ as Savior he must see his need for forgiveness. Romans 3:10 Says As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Romans 3:23 Says For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God: Scripture shows that there is no life without Christ. The great news is that the gift of eternal life is a free gift. No one can pay for it, earn it, or merit it. It can only be received as a gift, unmerited favor from God. The prove text for this is found in Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. The greatest demonstration of love was God returning love for sin. We sinned against a pure and righteous God, and He loved a unrighteous and depraved human race. Look at Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. What is the foundational problem with mankind? Why does the human race need a Savior? Read Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin, and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Well, then how do we become a Christian? How do we begin our personal relationship with the Lord? How do we know that our sins are forgiven and that we will have a home in Heaven when we die? It may be simpler then you may think. Look. Romans 10:9,10,13 Says That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. v.10 For with the heart man believeth unto rightousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. v.13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Salvation is both simple and secure. I John 5:11-13 says And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. v.12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. v.13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
Here is the most important part. Don't miss this! You can be a child of God. You can have all your sins forgiven. You don't have to live with guilt and shame. You can have an abundant, victorious life that has real purpose and meaning. What could be better? Well, only one thing. On top of all that you get eternal life in Heaven. And here is how you can get the greatest gift anyone can receive. Simply but sincerely by faith pray this prayer of repentance.
Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner and that Jesus died on the cross for my sins. I know that you raised Jesus from the grave. Now by faith I ask you to forgive all my sins. I ask Jesus to come into my heart and to be my Savior, and I trust Him alone to take me to Heaven one day. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus name. A-Men!
